A Journey to South Korea with the Bicycle of Peace

Ahmad Nadalian

The Persian Gulf’s peace bicycle was eventually published in South Korea. Its publication was an excuse for me to write a complete report of my trip to South Korea.

In the spring of 2010, I received a letter from Arco’s museum in Seoul and was invited to participate in an environmental exhibition.

This exhibition was planned at the same time as the meeting of economic and finance ministers of twenty leading countries called G20. One of their main discussions was an everlasting environment and therefore their meeting was organized at the same time as an environmental art exhibition. Although my country Iran is not a member of these countries, it was an honor for me to be one of the ten selected artists from all over the world to participate in this exhibition.

This exhibition was capable of reminding the politicians of the environmental dangers and threats of today’s’ world.

The immortal mountain and pure water :  A Journey to China

Ahmad Nadalian

The main purpose of my trip to China was the Biennial which this time had an emphasis on environmental issues. In spite of the planning that took me a year and a half, because the Chinese did not send my invitation on time, I arrived the day after Beijing’s opening. The arrangements of my trip had not been done just as I had expected. The best part of my trip was when I was by myself and worked in nature.

Three years ago I traveled to China but had not visited Beijing. Chinese are strange people. They eat everything.

Journey across South Africa: The Sprit of Rocks and Water

ourney across South Africa: The Sprit of Rocks and Water

Today is 26 September. I am flying in the sky and writing this note.  Many people like hearing stories, and many tell stories- I want to be the story. My art and life are the same,  my life is my art.

In the past 12 years, I’ve traveled to many lands and dedicated my fish to nature.  Canal of Venice, Rock Creek River- Washington DC, River Thames in London, Seine river in Paris, Lijiang River in China, Rhein River in Germany, Danube river in Serbia, … Persian Gulf, are now permanent hosts of the sprit of my fish.

Now I also dedicated my fish to South Africa's rivers, Indian and Atlantic oceans.  These fish were born in the streams of my village and now they swim in the ocean of the global village.  More
